Easiest way is to actually look on your engine block. There'll be an engraving that says the engine code. It'll start with either a D or B (or K if you have the new Si).

Of course I'm assuming you drive a civic since you're in the civic forum?

if its a civic, an it says DOHC VTEC on the valve cover (or it's a DOHC motor at all, unless swapped that is) then its gonna be the b16a motor.

if not...

dx=d16y7 (SOHC non-vtec)
ex=d16y8 (SOHC VTEC)
hx=d16y5 (SOHC VTEC-e)

Yes, the Australian VTi-R, canadian SiR, and the USDM Si are all the same car.

Hmmm... I find it interesting that you have a B16B in a 2000 civic coupe.

The only possible way you could have a B16B in your coupe is if you have done a engine swap, because the B16B's only come in the jdm Civic Hatchbacks.

But since you live in australia it could be different there. I am basing this on U.S. specs

Forgive me if i am mistakin.
