Drivers Window Motor

Need to test the drivers side window switch, and/or motor. Window is down, will not go up. When I press the switch I don't hear anything in the up position, but in the down position I hear a slight "plunk" if you will as if the window is trying to go down. I have taken the inside of the door apart and don't see any movement either way. Window is in the track as far as I can tell. Is there a way to get the window back up until I can get this fixed?
