Toyota 1994 Gli idling problem

I have a Toyota 1994 Gli automatic and I have a problem with its idling. Is it normal that every morning when I start the engine and after 2 or 3 minutes turn the aircon on the idling will go down and sometimes makes the engine off. What could be the cause? Please help me.
