led . center high brake light ???

1998 base model Lumina, 3.1 litre. has 251,000 miles on it now.
center high 3rd brake light blub question.
is there an after market , brighter LED blub that screws in the same way as the OEM?
I,m trying to get all the help I can because we have a bunch of distracted drivers in this New Orleans area constantly running into the back of vehicles.
Considering sticking reflector tape across the rear bumper.
