Crown vic motor swap
Hi so u know this is an old questions but I have a 2002 p71 and my foot locked the motor so I just want to know what motor will fit without any fabrication Work and will the 5.4 fit Iv read the forms but everyone says something different and I live in California

It's been a while since you posted and nobody has replied. A 5.4 engine won't really fit without some modifications, i.e. hood clearance. Plus, the 5.4 does not offer an appreciable performance upgrade over the 4.6. You can use a PI engine ... the CV uses a Romeo engine vs the Mustang Windsor engine - the Windsor got a PI (performance improvement) upgrade in 1999, the Romeo in 2001. The PI engine is a bit more powerful than what your 2000 came with. You will have to change the PCM to match the new engine.
