Aoshima AE86 Levin

I've been off the forums for a while now. Mainly cause I don't have a computer/laptop anymore and posting from a tablet is a bit of a P.I.T.A. and takes some getting use to and of course social media made too easy to share. But I'm a bit tired of that and want to visit the forum more often now.

So here's one I've been on and off on. Aoshima's AE86 Levin. Zenki model.
I started by modding a Fujimi bumper spoiler to fit the aoshima bumper and make it resemble the factory spoiler.
Then I massaged the fender arches to give them the "rolled" look, filled some sink spots. I was going to use the Buddy Club P1's in the kit. But decided that the SSR MKIII were a better fit.
For the engine, I went with a resin 20v from Jimmy " CrewDawg" aka "FuJimmy" He scratch built it to resemble the 20v a lot better than the Aoshima counterpart. (More pics later of the engine). I made a high rise header for it. It's an equal length 4-1 header that a lot of the N2 spec AE86's run.
The chassis has also been worked on. I removed the molded on exhaust, down pipe and cut off unneeded pieces. Still some work needed to finish it off.
I painted the body with Tamiya gloss aluminum. Needs another coat and then clear.
