Eagle Weslake, MFH, 1/12

Aaaaand it's done!

When I started modeling more intensively 10 years ago, I would have answered the question to my dream model kit with: Eagle in 1/12! My favourite car in my Grand Prix Legends career and probably the most beautiful F1 car ever. Thanks to Model Factory Hiro the kit is available now. It's not cheap at above 600€, but you get a nice model out of it, so I just had to buy it, even though I built the 1/20 MFH Eagle a few years ago.

Of course, as I wrote in my WIP, you can always find a couple of things to nag about, but the kit has lots of details and fits well, it's no different to building an 1/20 MFH kit just with more and bigger parts. You'll need some experience, especially double checking and dry fitting at each step, but if you have some patience, you'll get it done.

Painted with Zero Paints Eagle Blue and Mr. Super Clear Gross, OOB except for some wires, hoses and some little stuff. The metal parts are all just polished and treated with a washing of thinned acrylic black, except for the gearbox, which I painted with Alclad.

Hope you like it.

And a little group picture: 1/12, 1/20, 1/43

Absolutely gorgeous! Have to agree that it's one of the best looking F1 cars of all time, your build certainly proves the point. Well done!

Fabulous work, just perfect! As far as GPL, I was always a Lotus 49 man though, so hope you tackle that one of these days.
