Horn Blows Randomly

My daughter's 2007 Compass has begun to randomly blow the horn. There is no rhyme or reason to when it does it. We tried disconnecting the battery to see if it was a computer issue, but it still does it.

We were unable to locate a fuse or relay so we just unplugged the horn for now.

Any thoughts? TIPM bad?

Re: Horn Blows Randomly

I checked a parts store and they sell a new relay. Look along the fender for an electrical center.

I have found the electrical center and there is no horn relay. My understanding is it is integral with the TIPM.

For now we've disconnected the horn.

Call 304-933-9330 They make some bypass cables and can repair some relays on a TIPM cost varies around $255.00 for a repair versus $1000.00 at a dealer.
