850Csi Servicing

I am considering buying an second hand 850 Csi V12 5.6l. Can anyone give me a idea of the average cost of a standard service at an approved BMW dealer. Also does anyone know what kinda MPG it pulls.

Not much to go on in your message.

But here I'll try to answer your question:

- Inspection 1 at the dealer - ~$700
- Inspection 2 at the dealer - ~$1500

Never buy an 850 if the party who is selling it doesn't have complete service records or you can't forensically uncover them.

The CSi prices have been moving up this year since only 225 were imported into the USA 1994-95 model years. Expect to find good to excellent cars in the $48k to $65k range.

MPG: I get here in Colorado on the flats about 21 to 22 mpg. In the mountains, about 17mpg. In town, depending on how hard I'm driving, about 13 to 14 mpg.
