Unhappy 2001 Tahoe climate control HELP!! Please

Please help me... We have a 2001 Tahoe that is stuck on defrost. The rear vents work and blow fine... My hubby already tried disconnecting the battery and that didn't work. It is hot here in Texas and that defrost aint cutting it. Are there any quick fixes?
Thanks in advance,
Jade

It's probably a blend door actuator problem.

with the problem you have and its age stuck in defrost may mean a new HVAC control unit. disconnect the battery ground connection then place this wire on the positive so that the vehicles system is shorted out [NOT THE BATTERY] then after a 30 min period reconnect the battery ground cable and turn ignition to on see if it resets. this is I am guessing stuck in defrost and thats all it does is not respond to your commands/button pushing. sometimes vehicles can have a quick fix , most times it will cost you much time/money. esp on a vehicle this old.

Thumbs up Re: 2001 Tahoe climate control HELP!! Please

Thank you so much for your quick responses... Family takes longer to respond to text messages... Anyway, the problem is fixed, or at least temporarily. The handy man hubby looked above the gas pedal and found the little white gear thinggy and it was stuck i guess. I really do appreciate you guys though.
