Re: malibu brake problem

What was your problem to start with? Why did you start replacing parts? Best advice I can give is make sure your shoes are adjusted out almost to the drum.

Re: malibu brake problem

when we got this thing somebody had hacked the rear lines and blocked 1 of them off and now I have NO PEDAL AT ALL since all of that, also i have the shoes as tight as i can get them , i am getting fluid at all 4 but no pressure .I worked in a muffler and brake shop for many years and i am beyond sanity with this one, friend of mine said it could be the proportional valve where all the lines go into and come out of

thanks for any help

Re: malibu brake problem

Proportioning valve would be my best guess in no leaks at wheel cylinders

Re: malibu brake problem

Or air trapped in the abs unit, this requires the appropriate scanner to bleed the abs.

That's also very true it can be very hard to get air out of the abs without a scan tool

Re: malibu brake problem

When you got this thing, was it towed in or was it driveable, meaning you had a brake pedal?
