o/t I made it

Well I am a USMC.

Had the IQ testing yesterday and the physical testing today (damn I hate doctors) After the test yesterday went back to a shitty motel, and trust me when I went to bed, I made sure that door was locked up tight! Food sucks, the floor was more comfortable thn the beds. The wake up call for Tuesday morning (7-1-03) was at 4:20 am, drove back up to the testing place, got papers together and went off for our different things to be tested in.

-Vision
-Hearing
-HIV (blood)
-Drugs (urine)
-Examiniation (turn and cough )
-Interview (all why questions)

The doctors and marines asked the same questions about 10 times, all having to do with drugs what kind of drugs you used, if you liked the taste, do you wet your bed, do you sleep walk. Well that was boring shit, that took till about 11:00.

From 11:00 to 11:30 lunch was served

And fromd 12:00 till about 2:30, me and the other 6 marine recruits, just sat on our asses, and talked about all the other branches. My god that was so damn boring.

At around 3 16 people got sworn into the Military, finall contract was signed, went back to the Marine Leazoin (spelling) and got my welcome aboard pacage. Im so dead tired!

My shipment date is June 21, 2004 to Paris Island

Sorry for such a long post, just thought I would let everyone know the process for the US Military

i was signed up for the navy last year, sworn in and everything then i took a trip to san diego stayed with my boyfriend and a friend that was in the navy talked to a bunch of navy peeps, as soon as i got back i got out of that shit with the quickness, they dont tell you everything and basically they have full control of your life they will tell you you have to go somewhere and not tell you why or for how long, not my idea of the greatest next four years of my life.

"Boot camp" as you guys call it is a whole world away from the real military man, so when you feel like shit in there, dont worry, its nothing personal and it does get better. Go hard man.
