Looking for Tire Pressure Adapter
I need to connect my inflator/deflator nipple (see pic #1) to my Schumacher XP2260 compressor nozzle (see pic #2) but it appears that their connectors are incompatible. The inflator/deflator nipple does not unscrew. The Schumacher has a slightly recessed 1/4" threaded female nozzle that I want to connect.
I need an adapter that attaches pics #1 and pic #2 together. Any links to an appropriate adapter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ![]()

Re: Looking for Tire Pressure Adapter
Not sure why you want to. The lower pic accepts valve stems.

Re: Looking for Tire Pressure Adapter
Thank you for your prompt reply. I want to connect the two because the Schumacher compressor doesn't provide a digital reading. The tire pressure gun does.

Re: Looking for Tire Pressure Adapter
I was able to unscrew the bottom of the pistol and found it to have a 3/8" female thread.
![]() Note that the thread looks wider because the hex nut is displaying through the cross section. ![]() So I'll need a 3/8" to 1/4" male/male threaded adapter. ![]() Thanks again for your reply aleekat. |

Re: Looking for Tire Pressure Adapter
Normally there are two standards around: A European one and an American one. Your Connector at the pistol seems to be a European or Asian version as your connector look like.
I have both standards here because I bought several tools in the USA. You need the American Version. This can normally be bought in any DIY- store like home Depot or probably in a better car parts store. The Thread shoulf be 3/8". But i am not shure. Don't forget some teflon tape to seal the thread.
