Garage Door COdes

I just purchased a 2000 Chevrolet tahoe and can get the my garage door codes programmed into the GM opener. My door uses a rolling code system and the manual doesn't explain how to program for this - help !

Thumbs up codes

I had the same problem with my 99. After your clear out the memory, set the button of your choice with the original opener remote, go to the garage door opener head and there will be a button that will "train" your car to the codes in the head. It should be labeled. I have a craftsman and it is a square red button. Push it, and within 30 seconds push the button in your car you programmed (car should be in garage) and it should be trained in a few seconds and work fine.

Smile Garage Codes

Thanks for theTip - I'll try it tonight. My opener is an off brand of sears craftsman (lift master) but has the same red button.

So try the garage opener trick once (like laid in the manual), then push the buttonand try the same opener button ?

Thanks for you help
