Cruise Control Switch

I am looking to replace my cruise control switch in my 1995 Dodge 2500 Ram. The original has part number is 56006960. I have had no luck in getting an aftermarket replacement. I have looked up via an on line factory mopar parts listing, and a 1996 Dakota has the same part number. When I check local parts suppliers for this application, there is a different mopar number and the part crosses to a replacement. Does anyone know if the 96 Dakota part has been simplified in operation and will work in place of the 95 model that was originally in my vehicle? Thanks.
