driver's door hinge?

replacing the entire hinge is and INCREDIBLE PAIN IN THE ASS! isn't there a hinge pin repair kit (dorman, help, etc) for 03 windstar? i cant seem to find one.

It looks like Ford changed the design starting in 1999 such that no hinge pin is available. I found it for 1995 & 1996/97 model years.

Thanks for the reply. That was pretty much what I had finally come to accept.

I thought it was unbelievable that the only repair for the damn hinge pin was to replace the entire hinge.....

Well, that's what I ended up doing. And now that I've been through that experience, I find it even more unbelievable.

Not a fun, or easy job, especially with only the assistance of a couple of floor jacks.

But the "door ajar" warning has gone away.
