Fuel problems

Ok
My girl friend parks the car on a hill when the fuel light was on. While she goes insde it runs out of gas. Now I can't get it to start. (yes i put gas in it) It wll run if I use starting fluid but it won't stay running.

What to do?????????

If its the fuel pump does anybody know anyplace on the web that might show me how to change it?

Your gas tank will have to come out to replace the fuel pump! Its not that hard you have a wiring harness a fill hose 2 fuel lines and 2 gas tank straps to remove. You might need to move your exhaust system to do it.
