Are they REALLY changing the G-wagon?

In the past few months, I have seen many photos of up-and-coming models of the G-wagon and am very sad that someone could come up with such a stupid design and it would actually be considered. So, I want to know whether or not this design will be put into place and decades of history will be gone forever because some five year-old in Los Angeles working for Mercedes-Benz thinks that it looks cool or if it will hold onto it's place in history and stay the same.
