2003 ram 4x2 transmission problem

All thanks in advance for any advise you may give me.

My sons 2003 ram 4x2 4.7L 197k miles he was driving to work yesterday everything working perfectly he topped a small hill the truck jerked hard forward then nothing it will not move in any gear needless to say we had to have it towed home I checked the fluid and it is full and looks great no discoloration or electrical burnt smell when I shut the engine off it sounds like something is winding down.

I am hoping it is not the transmission shot, any help is greatly appreciated.
