clutch disc question
Ok i need a new clutch or disc n e way the only gear that slips is first when i step on the gas hard but second gear will grap hard so i just want to get a ACT street/strip disc that will hold a bit more than stock now is this a smart idea or will it not work or what I honestly dont have the money to spend 500$ for a entire kit when my car isnt that old and i think just changin the disc is only necessary so n e thoughts or commets would be great...

Stick another stock clutch in it . . . Adding an ACT street/strip clutch disc without the pressure plate would be pointless & $$$$ not well spent.
Check out Centerforce clutches @ Summit Racing If you want the upgrade you must replace the throwout bearing, pressure plate, & clutch disc - flywheel machining will also be needed. When you do get a new clutch, DO NOT beat on your car for the first 500-750 miles. Clutches need to be broken in, no matter what anyone says. 750 miles of normal driving thats hard for me

You think that a stock clutch or centerforce or excedy oem based clutch will hold up with the power being made by the turbo????

Are you sure about that? I mean it sounds good and all cuz those kits are under 200$ but do you know any sites or anything that i can read up on this?? because I really need my first gear to grab cuz I'm losing races because of it.

I have read & heard stock flywheels & clutches can support up to 250HP
Centerforce would be the 1st place I'd look for spec's. |
