The glue issue
The CA glue I use for modelling tend to come in bottles like this
![]() Perfect for spot on application - the first two or three times you use it. Then it has most certainly dried in the pipe and in the upmost part of the bottle. And this is not just a Humbrol issue. So what to do to be able to use more than one percent of the glue? Store it upside down? Any hints welcome. |

Re: The glue issue
try with a steel wire . I use it coming from a guitar (MI note) and it works great.
Had same issue with revell glue. probably the same stuff just in different color and labels.

Re: The glue issue
Ok, that is how I've been addressing the problem in the past but it is quite troublesome to go through every session, but I guess this issue comes with all types of glue bottles. Seems like a design problem to be solved here. Perhaps a cleaning stick to go with each bottle? Could be worth an extra $.

Re: The glue issue
This has been my solution to this
https://goo.gl/photos/XvjiXTqexdYPd5xj6 https://goo.gl/photos/HDVYwCxqPrJVJQvn8 I just keep a folded wire in the tube and usually it comes out together with the cap. Then it's just a matter of putting it back in when I'm done with the tube.

Re: The glue issue
I had this issue too, but I've started using Loctite CA and the bottle design, although not allowing a precise application (I use a pin anyway) does not have the issue of clogging:

Re: The glue issue
I put my CA glue in the fridge (not freezer), in a compartment without food. The glue didn't dry out and everything was fine, until it started to leak and the compartment was covered in a white haze.
Wife was not impressed about it, but the glue in the tube was still usable. |

Re: The glue issue
My local hobby store sales the same glue with a little steel wire to solve the problem.
