MKII year differences?
What are the differences in all the years of the 90's MR2s.
I've heard of some already like ECU differences in 93+ and that the turbo models in all the years have stronger more rigid chassis and thicker T-bars and stuff. if anyone could give me a rundown of all the years, i'd appreciate it greatly... I'm going car shopping soon, and I'm set on a TURBO MR2.. nothing else.. im gettin' one or gettin nothing heh. so: 1991: 1992: 1993: 1994: 1995:

93+ have shorter shifters, better trannies and likely to have LSD. The suspension was also changed to make the car a little more "friendly" - less liekly to snap oversteer. They also a 2nd subwoofer, to bring the factroy system to eight speakers.
94+ (extremely rare in the US) - different tail lights and different spoiler.

i dont get it
likely to have LSD?
do they flip a coin at the factory whether they should pocket it or not? what determines it? thanks man.. i like the hyde car

What determines if a car gets Power Windows, Cruise Control, ABS or Power Steering? Just like the LSD, they are factory options. Most MR2s have all of them... but not all.
The "barest" MR2's you find are usually hard tops. They were intended for the SCCA Solo II and Solo I crowd. The hard tops are the lightest models. When you get rid of the power sterring/windows and laods of other "extras" the car gets really light  Thanks for the compliments on Hyde

i dont want power steering. thanks for telling me about this track model... it's steering parts fit and can replace the one on the t-top turbo right?
you couldn't get me to not like the t-top. if it had a targa i'd be set on that, but w/e. heh.

differences
In 93 they changed the suspension and the small area in between the tail lights. 91 and 92 rides tougher, they have a sportier suspension. Which I think makes them the best 2 yrs. Toyota thought making a nicer ride quality would boost sales in 93 and after. Not sure if there are many interior differences.
