chevy sucks
with the entry of toyota and honda from the cart series to irl, chevys dominance has been totally destroyed. Two of the top five in points are hondas, and the rest of the top ten is made up of seven toyotas and only one chevy (hornish). I like hornish and feel he should stay in irl at least until he gets a few more wins and has the all-time win record, but with chevy doin terrible he is rumored to be leaving at the end of the year.

hornish just proves what a kickass driver he is when he can take a chevy engine and run up front at the handling tracks and fight for wins (if he wouldnt have small problems). When chevy rebadges the cossie engine, things will get better for chevy teams. Hornish tested the motor at kansas and it was 5-6 mph faster than his chevy. But if hornish wins indy soon or the struggles of the rest of the year are too much, he'll prolly end up at DEI in the 1 car.

i admit hornish is a kick ass driver but with all due respect his record at indy sucks. he probably won't go to the 1 car now. I heard pennzoil is leaving as sponsor at end of year for sure and if dei can find a sponsor it will probably be scott riggs from busch series.

yea indy hates hornish. As much money i think he would make in nascar, i think he is good for the IRL and american open wheel and i hope he stays atleast a few more years. Maybe penske will hire him. I think pennzoil like hornish tho, i guess well see when silly season really heats up

yea i meant nascar. Chip is prolly right behind the captain in his business ventures. I doubt toyota will jump after this year tho. And as much as i love cart, its dying a slow death.

most of carts good drivers went to irl. i think this year was terrible for cart. they lost ganassi and team andretti green after losing penske a year earlier.

they lost a lot more than that. Honda and toyota were putting a ton of money into that series in advertising and other stuff.

Re: chevy sucks
Chevy will get their act together, give them time. IRL is going to be a leading series in the next 10 years and will become interenational. They know this and want and are working on a better engine.
