Prelude Engines

Hello, I am a hotrodder and have been for many years now. I own a fully restored 5 window coupe that I show regularly and recently bought my son a '94 Honda Prelude. With all of the new information being thrown at me I don't really know what to do about this car. My son is a huge enthusiast and I have caught the bug. We are in the process of deciding what engine to rebuild for the car to replace the relatively stock H23A. I've been researching V-TECs among other engines and would like some enthusiast/tuner input. Any help with what to buy as a good base to work off of and location or dealer to buy from would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

Re: Prelude Engines

You have a couple choices. The H-Series engines are fully buildable and can put out massive horsepower. You could swap out for an H22 which has vtec, You could swap out just the head for an h22 head, and make the h23 vtec. Or, My advice, Rebuild the H23 for boost, and Turbocharge it. I think you can bore out a h23 to 2.5 liters. On 15 lbs. of boost, it'd fly
