Lexan Cover for Headlights

Does anyone know where I can get a kit to
1) Eliminate the Pop-up headlight setup
2) cover the existing Holes with something like Lexan
3) Upgrade the wuality of the lights at the same time

Thanks,

944GTR

Check out the "Products" link, then 924/944/968 parts, and you want the Carrera GT headlight conversion...

It's all in PDF format though, so you will need adobe acrobat, and it takes a while to scroll down.

NVM...Just found out he used the buckets from GT-Racing and used some fog lights to fill in. Damn, looks sweet though.

Whatever tickles your fancy

It's not that hard to work with fiberglass, it wouldn't be a lot of trouble to make a little pod for some projectors and use the lexan cover over that.

This looks very similar to a conversion kit a friend got for his miata. I can't remember who produced it, but it shouldn't be too tough to find on Yahoo or Google.

I plan on making my own buckets from fiberglass, and using a Xenon HID projector. If the fiberglass is coated in primer, then sprayed with 3M reflective paint and polished, it should make an extremely bright light pod.

Keep in mind, the issue that many Carrera GTS owners had with this setup was a lack of lighting low in front of the car. If you convert to buckets, you would be well advised to add a pair of good driving lights as well.
