1966 Galaxie 500 gas tank
A friend of mine wants me to help him put a new gas tank in his 66 Galaxie that he's owned for years. Has anybody got any information on how to do this and what we'll need to get this done? He already has the car jacked up a couple of feet and secured.

Be prepared to replace the tank straps,filler pipe connector hose,clamps and vent tube,or have a handy source for getting them. Once you siphon out the tank. drop the straps and filler pipe connector hose it should be pretty easy lowering it on a floor jack and some muscle. With the exception of possibly having to cut a siezed strap bolt. ( cutoff tool w/ blade).
