98 GST Blown
A kid i know was running 20 psi on his 98 gst just ta drive around town, i told him he was gonna kill his motor. A couple months later this is exactly what happened. I told him to drop a first gen. eclipse engine into it to replace it because I think that they are stronger. Is this right?

Was he running 20psi on his T-25?
Yes drop in a 6-Bolt, so you dont have to worry about crankwalk, as disscussed in the many threads in this forum

20 psi on a 2g will kill the t25 before it kills the motor
Boost frops to 15 psi after 5500 rpm, which is stock. Before 15 psi, the fuel demand is low and the stock system can keep up. I found it impossible to kill my motor at any boost level on the T25, but the turbo didnt survive 2 months of high boost. Did get down to 13.7 at 99 before it went though So this leads me to my next question. How do you know the motor was blown? I'll bet it wasnt. My brother and I pick up a lot of "blown" 2Gs real cheap and turn them around a couple weeks later for 5k profits, lol. Keep em coming...
