I too came here looking for a driver's side regulator. You can buy the motor everywhere, but no regulator. Tons of them on eBay, but not drivers door. I need to find the part number and see if we I can cross it to another vehicle maybe.

Re: 99 buick park avenue window regulator

Alright, I called the local Buick dealer and he told me what I had found by looking at the parts diagram. For the drivers door it's not a regulator, they call it a lock module and its the whole shebang. $1300 from GM ha-ha... He said he had a guy in a few months ago and they gave him the bad news and never seen him again lol..

I'm gonna tear into mine, lube everything, and see if anything is loose or if I can find a fix.

Re: 99 buick park avenue window regulator

I've found a similar problem in other vehicles. More than once I've had to disassemble the interior door, remove the motor and regulator, and straighten, repair broken spot welds on the frame and mounting brackets, clean and lube the regulator. If the stamped gear teeth in the main lift arm are intact, the rest is probably salvageable. If the teeth are damaged, it will take a little more work.

You'll have to get out the TIG and build some more material on to shape new teeth.

Very rare to see the regulator go bad....that's why it's usually the motor...easy fix since it's bolted on....

Need a regulator? Boneyard....
