Will Any GMC P3500 5.7L fit in my 1982 ValueVan?

Hi All,

I have a 1982 GMC Value Van (one of those UPS type box trucks) and it's P3500 5.7L engine blew. I am just wondering if a newer rebuilt 5.7L engine would fit or do I have to find a 1982 engine.

Also, if you have any links on where I can find such engine at a reasonable price that would be great.
