Replacement fuel tank

There aren't any replacement fuel tanks for 1999 pau s/c? Went to swap fuel pump. Locking ring and tank are fused as one now. The locking tabs are disintegrating as is the locking ring. Need options !!!!

Re: Replacement fuel tank

That's odd. There are all kinds of tanks listed for a '99 LeSabre but none for the PA. I wonder what the difference(s) would be.

Short of a junk yard tank, which might not be in any better condition, the repair could turn really difficult.

Re: Replacement fuel tank

Stopped by a local repair shop(family owned). The owner sounds like he came through for me. He found a decent tank(used) from a parts dealer he uses and ordered it. We will see how it looks. PRAYING!!!!

Re: Replacement fuel tank

Good luck! Finding a good used one is a crap-shoot. As long as the top mount is in good condition it COULD be siamesed onto your old tank and TIGed in place. Welding gas tanks is not as difficult/risky as it may sound so long as the proper precautions are exercised.
