Replaced starter on 86 Chevy Silverado and now it wont start

My truck recently stopped running I thought it was the starter, so I replaced it. Now I seem to have no power at all whereas before I could at least get the radio, headlights, and so on to come on.

Check fusible links at the starter harness.
