New Tamiya Mercedes Benz 300SL

Completed a couple of weeks ago, I've been on a rampage building this year!
As soon as I saw this kit announced I was eager to build it and Tamiya didn't disappoint! The engineering is spectacular, it literally falls together with few hiccups, and the completed kit captures the shapes perfectly.
Another new product I became aware of was the new (to the U.S. at least) Gravity paints for models. The company claimed accurate colors with the smallest possible metallic particles to eliminate that horrible "metal flake" look you get with most silvers so, I gave them a shot. Take a look at how the paint has no discernible metallic particles and how the shadows cascade like the real MB silvers! The gradient shading of a proper German silver in model paints has never been correct, until this product! I love it and have bought several other colors recently!

Thanks for checking it out!

Between the obvious quality of the kit and the beautiful clean finish that you have achieved, you have done a beautiful car a great justice. Well done.

Cheers,
Anthony

P.S. I have checked out the Gravity paints online, and now that I have seen your testimonial I am keen to give them a go...if I can get them sent to Australia?

Great build, and also excellent paint. I actually ended up understanding the concept of gradient shading by looking at this model. It really adds up a lot more "size" to the model.

Yes they will send to Australia. Recently received a parcel of 10 colours without any problems, thought they may have got stopped by Customs, however no problems.

Fast shipping as well, about 12 days from the US to Australia. About to place another order, great email communication as well.
