VW Golf MK1 GTI

New project in colaboration with Scaleproduction, I'm building the Revell VW Golf MK1 GTI with their new bumper kit and some new wheels.

Just a couple of comparison shots with the wheels and bumpers





sanded the body

Primed


Pearl White

Decals

Clear


Masking and painted some parts flat black

How in the heck did you get such clean lines on the black fender flares?
Looks amazing.
I've got that kit on deck, waiting for me to finish my current build.

fineline maskingtape. I place a strip of masking tape on my cutting mat put my ruler against it and cut thin strips and then apply it to the body.

Great start! That body is flawless. The wheels are going to be particularly perfect - is SP selling them yet?

Whats the main difference between the SP kit and revell kit parts? They require less parts to put together? Or they are completely different bumpers? Your masking came out perfect!! Great progress.

Completely different bumpers. The first couple pictures show the grey one( the kit version) and the resin one( the scaleproduction bumpers)
