Getting Fuel but Won't start

We know that fuel is getting to the engine by checking valve and gas does come out so we know that it is not the fuel pump... or at least we think its not. We checked the fuses also and thats not it. We checked to make sure that there was spark from the spark plugs and there is. It cranks over and seems like it is trying to start but like as if it is not getting gas. However when check the valve at the motor gas does come spew out so there is gas getting there. Any ideas or suggestions? Maybe the fuel filter?

The fuel filter is a possibility but the fuel pressures need to be checked.

Re: Getting Fuel but Won't start

You need a fuel pressure guage kit with adapters to adapt to your engine at that rail port. You'll need the fuel pressure specifications for that year, make, model engine. Check the pressures with key on,engine off and holding pressure,(drop), with key off. You're dealing with gasoline under pressure so be careful.

Re: Getting Fuel but Won't start

Don't be checking for spark and fuel pressure at the same time. You'll be in the market for a new face or worse! Be sure to disable ignition. This is a potentially dangerous operation.
