2003 Ford Taurus

I have a 2003 Ford Taurus and it cuts off when the car rpm drops below 1. I had the throttle and air flow sensor changed. I need assistance on finding out what is wrong my car.

By throttle sensor, are you referring to the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) or the throttle body? Has anyone inspected/cleaned the Idle Air Control (IAC) servo and passages? Has anyone inspected the back side of the throttle plate and throttle bore to make sure they are clean?

If you hold the accelerator to keep the engine speed just above where it wants to stall does it run smoothly or hiccup? How old is the battery in the car?

I'm sorry, yes I mean the throttle position sensor and I have the same battery that was in the car when I bought it 2 years ago. I even had it put on the diagnostic machine yesterday and no codes showed up.

I've had a slightly weak battery cause intermittent stalling on my wife's former 2002 Lincoln LS. The car always started fine and the battery was 3 years old, but after replacing the battery, immediately the intermittent starting issue went away. I tried replacing the battery based upon the recommendation of another forum member who had experienced similar issues. So, you might try replacing the battery if you plan to keep the car awhile just to see if that changes your symptoms. The other suggestions above are other things I'd also consider.
