Blower won't shut off

A new issue just popped up. I searched and didn't find anything.

Wife started the car, then shut it down to come back in the house and the A/C blower kept running.

With engine running, all HVAC controls work normally, but the fan continues to run after the engine is off and the key is out of the switch.

I'll pull the fuse for now but there must be a relay stuck or something. Anyone ever run across this?

Re: Blower won't shut off

It's a 2004 with auto climate control.

It seems like it is the blower module. I did some digging elsewhere and found if I unplug the module, the blower shuts off.

Ordered a new one on Amazon and hopefully, it will be in next week.

Thanks for the help!

I'll bet you are on the right track. I've replaced several fan modules on those for various issues. Post back the results!

Re: Blower won't shut off

The module I took out looks like the one I put in and it appeared to already have the new harness spliced in but I put the new one on anyway and everything is back to normal.

The next question is, where the heck is the cabin air filter in this thing?

My Haynes manual says some models have 2 but I don't think this one has any.

There is no access door where the Haynes indicates for sure.

EDIT: Just did a search and apparently, even though you can buy one, the 2004 and up models don't have them. Time to head back to the store and get my money back!
