04 impala engine, need part identified
![]() Hey I'm new to the forum and I have a 2004 chevy impala, I love to work on cars and I'm definitely a beginner. I have a quick question I was wondering if anyone can identify the circled part in the image above, I noticed a loud blowing noise in my engine and I notice the hose or tube whatever you want to call it had a huge hole in it and I'm pretty sure it was sucking air in like crazy. It should be a quick fix it's only a small hose attachment, but I have no clue what the part is. Any help would be appreciated! |

Re: 04 impala engine, need part identified
Hopefully you've replaced that vacuum hose by now and solved the problem. In doing so you would find that getting a hose to fit both ends is a bit of a challenge, and a plastic reducer can be used to marry two differently sized hose pieces together to fabricate a replacement.
