04 impala engine, need part identified

Hey I'm new to the forum and I have a 2004 chevy impala, I love to work on cars and I'm definitely a beginner. I have a quick question I was wondering if anyone can identify the circled part in the image above, I noticed a loud blowing noise in my engine and I notice the hose or tube whatever you want to call it had a huge hole in it and I'm pretty sure it was sucking air in like crazy. It should be a quick fix it's only a small hose attachment, but I have no clue what the part is. Any help would be appreciated!

Hopefully you've replaced that vacuum hose by now and solved the problem. In doing so you would find that getting a hose to fit both ends is a bit of a challenge, and a plastic reducer can be used to marry two differently sized hose pieces together to fabricate a replacement.

The part is called a Canister Purge Valve
