Unhappy Help!

I have an 06 grand Prix, about a month ago I started hearing a knock on the front driver side n it has gotten worst. At first I thought it could be a hub berring or tire rod ends but I noticed service abs and traction system lights are on. Could this also cause the knocking sound?

Re: Help!

The ABS light being on is probably indicative of a failed hub bearing. The ABS sensor is in the hub itself.

Re: Help!

I do 99% of repairs myself so I don't know what a shop would charge to do it if that's what you were asking.

The part itself is listed for around $140 at Advance Auto for the Moog brand. Using online coupons you can get that price closer to $100. Whatever you do do NOT go with a cheap hub. Sure you may save $60, but you will be changing it again soon.

If you have any mechanical ability the job is rather simple. There are plenty of write ups and videos online that could get you through the job.
