dodge dakota 2.5L exhaust manifolds cherry red

I just purchased a dorman exhaust manifold to replace my original(badly cracked) the manifold came with a new gasket and I replaced it also had to take the intake off to get to it but now it idles high and and the manifold get red hot. I can block off the the throttle body with my hands and it still runs and doesn't choke out. I made double sure the vacuum lines were hooked up, should I remove the intake and exhaust and reassembly it with high temp rtv gasket? I'm almost positive it is sucking air in and causing it to run lean making the manifold get cherry red. when I changed the manifold I also had to replace the fuel line and painted the fuel rail which was very rusty and I cleaned the injectors with carb cleaner with a apparatus I schemed up. I dont think the the Idle air control valve could be the culprit as it should have stalled when i blocked the throttle body with my hand. Any ideas?
