trunk lid
does anyone know if any company makes a fiberglass or carbon fiber trunklid for the 96-98 civic coupe?

yes, someone does. I saw it on a blue SI on either here or cardomain.com. It look different, but its out there somewhere out of carbon fiber. Oh, i remember, its some big company that i've heard of before......I'll be frustrated till i remember the company, i think Mike (CivicLx) has mentioned the company once, not sure though.

Sorry bro can't help, but I've seen cf's for hatches and I wouldn't really want one. If I had to have one it would be on a black car, and since yours is black it should be alright. Is it really worth the ~$500 (my guesstimate) to shave off like 20 lbs? Or do you want it for the looks?

www.Fiberimages.com makes carbon fiber trunks for 92-95 civics and 2001 civics, but ive heard that the trunk lids for the 96-99 civics are coming out soon.
