2003 Alero

Hello all,
Having some issues with my 2003 Alero 4 cylinder. Upon start the entire engine shudders and the check engine light flashes. I have to turn it off and turn it on and it will stop most of the time. I've taken it in and the mechanics can't get it to reproduce the same issue for them. Just replaced all four plugs, boots, ignition coil. Any thoughts?

A flashing CE light is a severe misfire....a P0300 code should be set.....

Did you replace both coils?

More often than not, when I see a misfire on these cars, and fuel pressure is ok, compression is ok, and there are no vac leaks, and the f/p regulator is not leaking, and secondary components have been replaced, the usual culprit is the ignition tower, which has carbon tracking.....the tower is the plastic part that houses the coils, and that the boots attach to......
