Help Identifying a Car, Make or Model
Greetings,
This is my first post to your excellent community. I am hoping that the car experts here can be of some help. I am trying to identify the following vehicle for a police homicide investigation. We are leaning towards 98-00 Nissan Altima. I know the pictures are not real clear, but this is all we have. Any help or opinions would be appreciated. I have tried to upload these directly, but they are too large. Thanks Kindly, http://postimg.org/image/iila06gjx/ http://postimg.org/image/6j9rsvaz1/ http://postimg.org/image/yea43h74d/ http://postimg.org/image/nl2luypu5/ http://postimg.org/image/ijv7tlidp/ http://postimg.org/image/nsq8rh0st/ http://postimg.org/image/tok6evg3x/ http://postimg.org/image/6ltnfpeml/ http://postimg.org/image/anfbz3wb1/ http://postimg.org/image/r8id10y19/ http://postimg.org/image/i202dqsst/ |

Re: Help Identifying a Car, Make or Model
Those pictures are beyond unclear. Identifying a car from fuzzy long distance pictures will be a guessing game at best and never anywhere near certain enough to be any help in something as important as a homicide investigation. Some of them look like they could be 2 different cars. If these photos are used as evidence it could easily end with the wrong person behind bars and whoever actually did it runs free.

Re: Help Identifying a Car, Make or Model
I understand that the photos are unclear. We are running out of ideas so I wanted to get the opinions of auto experts here. They are what we have to work with. I appreciate your input that they would be difficult to use as evidence. My best guess, and yes they are the same car, is a late 1990's model Altima.

Re: Help Identifying a Car, Make or Model
I've been thinking about your photos for the last week. I don't think it's an Altima - the roofline and taillights (photo 5) don't look right. The first car that comes to mind is an Oldsmobile Alero - maybe around 2001.
So far, I haven't really convinced myself - I'll continue to think about it. I'd really like to be able to help you with this. DB |

Re: Help Identifying a Car, Make or Model
If I were you I would consult someone who works with digital imagery. Get those blown up and sharpened. That could be the flintstone's car for all I can see. Some images kinda looked like a 1997 camaro, the first one with the car to the right looks like it could be a Chevy 1500 pickup with the front smashed in, but I know it's a light flare. Someone has to clear up those images for these to be useful. And use someone who is accredited and reputable so it will hold up in court.
