Speedometer stopped working 98 Century
Disconnected the battery yesterday and today I noticed that the speedometer isn't working. Everything around it seems to be working. I undid the battery to see if that would help with my ABS warning light staying on. It didn't.
Any ideas. Last edited by chasbox1; 04-03-2015 at 02:21 PM. Reason: spelling |

Re: Speedometer stopped working 98 Century
Did you disconnect the battery, with the key in the ignition and in the "ON" position?
Have seen the needle spin all around and get stuck underneath the pin near zero..... |

Re: Speedometer stopped working 98 Century
The key was in. Don't know if it was on. The needle is buried past 120 not near the pin.If I whack the dash above, the needle bounces. The other day I disconnected the battery for an hour and after the reconnect I didn't have to reset anything.
I thought I would have to at least reset the radio. I did last year when I replaced the battery. Thanks |

Update
I did the battery disconnect\connect and the speedometer is back to normal. I did have to reset the clock. Unfortunately the ABS\antilock warning light still stays on. |
