Superb build. A lot don't realise just how hard it is to make a 1/43 look right.

Thanks Joe

For the metal, I use maillechort (in french), it looks like than nickel thickness 0,3mm. I cut a thin strip with massicot (in french), normally i use it for the paper

Maillechort / nickel

then i form it

Then i solder it end to end and polish

For the door, i use the same method but it is much simple

If i have any time, i post a new topic with a new WIP and you can see hinge also.

Re: Jaguar XJ12C Broadspeed AMR 1/43

A truly spectacular model and superb craftmanship, the amazing detail that was scrachtbuilt in varius metals for this model are amazing. Iam very happy to see this model finished, it worth every single minute of its creation.

By a strange coincidence I am to finishing my 1/24 scrachtbuilt Broadspeed XJC, is in plastic....and no where near the quality or craftmaship of this 1/43 model.
