battery light

We replaced a starter on a 2006 Saturn ion, after we was done we hooked the battery back up. The starter was ok, but we started it the next morning and the battery light was on.

what did you remove ? what voltage test you do ?

Did you disconnect the battery ground before installing the starter?

Yes, took to auto parts, said it was alternator.

If you jumped the vehicle this could have blown the alt diodes..
