I just purchased a 2007 VW Passat 2.0T.
I failed to realize that this car required premium gas. I filled up with regular low grade gasoline and the Malfunction Indicator Lamp came on. We took it to autozone and they read the codes and it said 2 things about a gas cap. The associate gave me a $12 octane bottle and told me to put it in my tank. The light is still on 3 days later. Please help!!! ![]()

Re: 2007 VW Passat 2.0T MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP won't turn off?
I think you need to shut off the Check Engine light with the OBD scan tool.....go back to Autozone and have them shut it off with thier code reader scan tool.
