[FINISHED] Ducati Panigale 1199 Tricolore

Hi guys, I want to share my latest work, Ducati Panigale 1199 Tricolore.
It's just a straight build with front fork set & tricolore decals set.
Still working with the technique of taking decent pictures. Hope anyone could help me with this issue here
As usual, cnc are welcomed

Re: [FINISHED] Ducati Panigale 1199 Tricolore

Really crisp work! Did you mask white parts and paint red or is it decals? Seat cowl looks painted and if so you did a really clean job!
Pics look good, perhaps remove some shaddowing with better light or outdoor pictures.

As for criticism I would only add a light wash to the lower fork parts and calipers. Not to make them look dirty, but they tend to look a bit toyish when the sharp lines are not enhanced.

Thanks Joel!
It's kinda hybrid method. I initially wanted to use full decals(museum collection), but it didn't fit well, so I painted white over italian red. I would do otherwise if I could turn back time The green stripes are decals.

As for your input, thanks so much, I'll learn how to make that parts look more realistic

Hi,

It's a really nice model.
Check your brake hoses, the front and rear are kinked.
Maybe you can change this.

But awesome bike, mine is still waiting.

Thanks mate. You're right ! I'm having difficulty in assembling tamiya hoses(especially this one) correctly. No matter what I do, it will always be kinked. Do you know a best technique to assemble theses hoses ?
I'm looking forward for your Panigale!

Thanks Komninos!
For front fender, I used S27's carbon decal A (s) SKU ST27-FP0002.
After applying, I sprayed a couple layers of smoke.

Hi Brian,

Sometimes I'm also having problems with the hoses .
What I did the last time?I used a little ignition wire inside the brake hoses.
This ignition wire has a iron core inside so you can bend it al little bit.
For me it worked fine.

If you want to see my panigale you have to wait for a while.
I'm working right now an a Kawasaki ZX-RR 2006 motogp bike and when that one is done I will do a car.
Maybe after the car the panigale or the laFerrari, I'm not sure yet.

I usually skip the tubing and use nylon fishing wire instead. .4 and .6 mm is great for clutch and throttle! Modelmakers tip is another way to do enhance the tamiya tube.

Really beautiful paint work Brian
Nice paint heat staining on the exhaust pipes
Paint on the body panels looks nicely painted - cleared - and polished
Bravo Brian
