1998 Lincoln Continental Cooling fan replacement
I am trying to replace the cooling fan on a 1998 Lincoln Continental. I have the fan shroud loose but I can't figure out how to get it out. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Re: 1998 Lincoln Continental Cooling fan replacement
Make sure you have ALL the bolts out of it. Next, you may have to remove the trans cooler lines, and remove the upper radiator hose, so when you pull the fan assembly out, it won't get hung up on the lines or the hoses.
It's kinda a bitch to do, but with a little patience, you can get'er done. |

I'll give that a try. I have it loose but I just couldn't get it to come out. There is not a lot of room in there.

I have the shroud loose I have removed radiator hoses and even the plastic tray that the wiring harness runs through but I am still unable to get the fan assembly out. I welcome any other suggestions.

Never done it but quick search repair guides show you have to remove the radiator.

Re: 1998 Lincoln Continental Cooling fan replacement
I did end up getting the fan and radiator out but as it turns out it all has to come out from underneath. FYI in case anyone else has to replace one.
