2003 Rav4 fuel pump
I believe my fuel pump is bad. I can't figure out how to get the access panel out of the floor. All the instructions I have seen say to remove the 4 bolts but there aren't any bolts. Do I just pry it off, twist it, or???? I don't want to break anything.

Re: 2003 Rav4 fuel pump
Make sure you're looking at the correct panel. There may be more than one type of access panel back there.

Re: 2003 Rav4 fuel pump
I finally had time to replace the fuel pump. Running a putty knife around the access panel popped it off.
It will start and run if I keep the RPMs up around 2000. If I let it idle it will die and be very hard to restart, if it will start at all. Sometimes even while holding it at 2000 RPMs it will start stumbling and die. I'm thinking maybe I should have replaced the pressure regulator along with the pump. Any ideas? |

Re: 2003 Rav4 fuel pump
How about checking the pressures while the problem occurs?
