will not restart when engine is warm

have a problem with a 2002 Aztek. when the engine is cold the engine will start just fine but after driving it and the engine warms up it does not want to restart. Have replaced the intake manifold gasket and all that entails. The dash lights have flashed. Any ideas?

What do you mean the dash lights have flashed?

Did you replace the intake gaskets because of this?

Have you scanned for codes?

When vehicle does not start, have you checked for spark, fuel pressure and injector pulse? If all are ok, then you need to check compression....

Yes the gaskets have been replaced. The lights in the dash have flashed off then came back on. The vehicle runs very strong and great just that after you have gone to the store and turned off the vehicle it will not start till it gets cold again.

Ok, the gaskets were not replaced because of this problem, it's just that they have been replaced in the past.....

It's easiest to diagnose, when it won't start.......do you have spark(could be a crank sensor or ICM)? Do you have fuel pressure(pump could be on it's way out or leaking fuel pressure regulator)? Do you have injector pulse(ICM or PCM problem)?

Now, by not start, do you mean it cranks over and doesn't fire, or it doesn't crank at all?

This dash concerns me......when it flashes, is that when the car doesn't crank or cranks but doesn't start?

Has the vehicle been scanned for codes?
